Alamat ng Pinya is a classic Filipino legend about Pinang, a young girl who was lazy and unwilling to help her mother with household chores. After her mother wished that Pinang would have many eyes to help her find things, the girl mysteriously disappeared, and a pineapple with many “eyes” grew in their yard. The story teaches the importance of obedience, diligence, and respect for parents.
